Kempegowda International Airport – Phase 1

Persistent efforts of KSIIDC as the nodal agency of the State aided in realising the dream of setting up the country’s first green field International Airport at Devanahalli on Public Private sector partnership. This has brought in international standards in the aviation sector. Established at a cost of about Rs. 2000 crores, the airport is presently meeting the surge of air traffic in Bangalore.

KIA, continued to perform well retaining its position as the 3rd largest airport in the country in terms of the passenger traffic. Present equity holding is 13% each from GOI & GOK; 26% by Seimens; 43% GVK & 5% by Unique Zurich. GVK and Unique Zurich are intending to sell their 33% and 5% shares in BIAL respectively, to Fairfax Financial Holdings. Expansion of Terminal was completed and inaugurated in December 2013. KIA has handled 22.88 million passengers in 2016-17 as compared to 18.97 million passengers in 2015-16 registering 20.16% growth. As per the audited financial figures, total revenue was Rs.1343.68 crore with profit after tax of Rs.565.38 crore for the FY 2016-17. KIA has taken up the development of second runway and terminal. KSIIDC on behalf of GoK, got land lease rent of Rs.12.94 crore for the year 2016. KSIIDC continued its role as the nodal agency in dealing with all importantant matters concerning the Governmant. Taking into account the present growth in air traffic, BIAL has taken up development of the second runway as well as the second terminal building. Expansion of trumpet interchange is also being taken up. KSIIDC continues its role as the nodal agency in dealing with all important matters concerning the Government.

Khanija Bhavan

Khanija Bhavan KSIIDC has developed Khanija Bhavan with all the modern amenities possible. Situated amidst green environs with ample parking space, it provides an exellent workplace for MNC’s, IT companies and other business houses. The corporate and Head office of KSIIDC is also located at Khanija Bhavan Bangalore.

IT Park – Rajajinagar

IT Park – Rajajinagar KSIIDC has also developed an IT Park in joint venture with KSSIDC at the Rajajinagar Industrial Estate, Bangalore, at a total cost of Rs. 40 crores. The park has a built-up area of 24,000 sq.mtrs, entirely occupied by MNC’s.
